Shoes

It's back but with more style. (public)

Shoes

Postby jef costello on Thu Sep 11, 2008 2:20 pm

I need a new pair, for work as a teacher.
I have a pair of Base shoes but the soles have worn flat ridiculously quickly so I won't go with that brand again.

Something stylish (no buckles or shit)
that looks good on big feet
hard wearing (soles and uppers)
not too expensive.

Can anyone give me any recommendations, the last pair of shoes I bought were these ones and that was from TK Maxx.

I wouldn't buy shoes online but I thought I'd at least check them out see what they looked like, where I could buy them etc. I'm trying to improve my life here.

I'm too tall to be a lesbian :(

I ended up wearing paraboots to work because I wasn't going to wear the fucked up shoes and I didn't bother to buy new ones.

I also forgot my tie. Fight the power!

I've been wearing them for years. But I'm looking for some kind of comfy shoe, rather than boots. Not a pair of trainers, because I have no clothes that go with them, but not exactly a formal-type shoe. Any ideas?

Get a pair of Merrell's, they're not cheap (£80+) but will last you years. They are bomb proof.

I still prefer my docs though - I need a new pair come to think of it. Got gloss paint all over my black ones :(

I wear merrils and they are great. Better still cos they're made here I can get back-of-the-lorry pairs at a shop up the street for about half the price they'd be in the UK. Exploitation of the Chinese workers is great \:D/
